This feature is available with some paid plans
To use the same link in multiple channels, you need to have unique UTM parameters for each channel. You can do this on your own before adding the links to your campaign or you can let us do it for you.
There are two ways to do this automatically in Bitly:
Using the bulk import template
When you upload links to a campaign using the bulk import option, you can add the same link multiple times, as long as you have a unique channel for each entry. Make sure that the channels in the spreadsheet match the channels in your account.
Because the channel names become utm_source parameters, they should be in lowercase and contain no spaces.
For example, we could have a campaign for the Bitly Help Center with these channels: bitly link-in-bio, paid social, and email. Here's what our CSV file might look like:
Long URL |
Channel |
Title |
Keyword |
https://support.bitly.com/hc/en-us |
bitly_link-in-bio |
|
|
https://support.bitly.com/hc/en-us |
paid_social |

Using "Auto-add UTM Parameters"
Another option is to upload your links one at a time. When you add a link, select Auto-add UTM Parameters and select the appropriate channels. Behind the scenes, we'll add UTM parameters to the long link before shortening it. This way, you can analyze the performance for each channel separately.
