How do I add UTM parameters to my links by using Campaigns and channels?

When you add links to a Campaign, select Auto-add UTM Parameters to have parameters added to the link for each selected channel. You have this option when you create a Campaign or add new links to an existing one.

You can also add UTM parameters to multiple links at once with our bulk upload feature.

The parameters are populated like this:

• utm_medium=bitly
• utm_source=channel
• utm_campaign=campaign name

A few things to keep in mind:

• The utm_medium is always bitly.
• If the link you're shortening already contains UTM parameters, additional ones are added according to your selections.
• UTM parameters can't be added automatically when you add an existing link (one you've previously shortened in your Bitly account) to a Campaign or when you upload links to a Campaign in a CSV file.
