With Auto-branding, our Enterprise customers can promote the use of their custom domain for links that point to their websites.
You may notice this feature when you shorten a link to certain websites. The short link uses that organization's custom domain rather than bit.ly or your custom domain. For example, we use Auto-branding on our Help Center, so a link to this article would use the domain bitly.is.
When Auto-branding is used on a link, we show this message beneath the short link field:
You still have the option to use bit.ly or your own custom domain (if you have one). Click the dropdown and select the domain you'd like to use. You can then customize the back-half, if desired.
Links that have been auto-branded cannot be edited.
