This feature is available with some paid plans
Quick Answer: Open the details page for a Bitly Link or QR Code, click Compare to a link or Compare to a QR Code at the top of the analytics section, and choose a second one. Bitly opens a Comparison snapshot that shows both side by side across every analytics module. You can export the full snapshot or a single module.
Use performance comparison to see which of two links or QR Codes is doing better: two versions of a campaign link, the same offer shared on different channels, or QR Codes on different print placements.
What can I compare?
You can compare one Bitly Link with one other Bitly Link, or one QR Code with one other QR Code.
Comparing a link with a QR Code isn’t available.
The Comparison snapshot shows both items across each analytics module on the details page, such as performance over time, locations, referrers, and devices. You can compare one additional link or QR Code at a time.

How is this different from period-over-period comparison?
Period-over-period comparison shows how one link or QR Code performs against its own previous period, so you can see whether it’s trending up or down. Performance comparison puts two different links or QR Codes next to each other, so you can see which one is performing better over the same dates.

Frequently asked questions
Can I compare more than two links or QR Codes at once?
No. Each comparison includes the link or QR Code you start from and one additional one. To review many links together, export data for a select group of links or view your top-performing links.
Which dates does the comparison use?
The Comparison snapshot uses the date range set on the details page. Change the date range before you click Compare.
Is my comparison saved?
No. The Comparison snapshot closes when you leave the page. Export it to keep a copy.
Does comparing change my links or their data?
No. Comparison is a view of your existing analytics. Your links, QR Codes, and their click and scan data stay the same.
How is this different from downloading a PDF of a link?
A PDF download captures the details page for one link or QR Code. A comparison export includes two links or two QR Codes side by side.
How do I share feedback about comparison?
Use the feedback prompt in the Comparison snapshot. Your answers help us decide what to build next.
