This article explains how to download a PDF report for one Bitly Link or one QR Code, what the PDF includes, and how it differs from Bitly's other export options.

 

What's included in the PDF

The PDF is a self-contained snapshot of the details page for that link or code at the time of download. The PDF reflects the filters and date range currently applied on the details page. Set those before you click the download icon.

 

 It includes:

  • The link's short URL and destination, or the QR Code's short URL.
  • The custom back-half or code title, when present
  • Total clicks (Links) or scans (QR Codes) for the selected time range
  • Performance over time
  • Top locations, referrers, and devices
  • The date range

 

Download a PDF for an individual Bitly Link

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Bitly account.
  2. Click Links in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the title of the link you want to report on to open its Link details page.
  4. (Optional) Adjust the date range and any filters so the PDF matches the view you want to share.
  5. Click the download icon next to Analytics.
  6. The PDF downloads to your device.

 

Download a PDF for an individual QR Code

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Bitly account.
  2. Click QR Codes in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the title of the code you want to report on to open its QR Code details page.

Can I download more than one link or code at a time as a PDF?
No. PDF download is designed for a single link or a single QR Code. To pull data for multiple links, use the select-group export or the all-links export. To pull data for all QR codes, use the all QR Codes export.


Does the PDF include every metric on the details page?
The PDF mirrors the details page for the current date range and filters, including performance over time and the top locations, referrers, and devices. 


Can I change the date range in the PDF?
Yes. Set the date range and any filters on the details page before you download. The PDF captures what you see on screen.


Where does the PDF save?
PDF’s download your browser's default download location.
