What you need to know about the Bitly SDK
The Bitly SDK is lightweight, at around 1MB.
There are a number of benefits of using the SDK to create Universal Links and Android App Links, compared to the older deep linking method of Custom Scheme links:
- Automation: Configure your apps for mobile deep linking once, and each link takes your audience to the best place to view your content.
- Improved data collection: The SDK is required to collect app session data.
The Bitly SDK also offers support for:
- Android Instant Apps
- Shortening links directly from your app
