Preparing the QR Code bulk upload file
To get started, download our template:
Make sure you don't change any of the column names or remove any columns.
Only one column is required:
| Column | Required? | What to enter |
| Long URL | Yes | The destination URL the QR Code should point to |
The following columns are optional:
| Column | What it does |
| Title | Sets the display name of the QR Code in Bitly |
| UTM Source | Identifies which site or tool sent the traffic (e.g., newsletter) |
| UTM Medium | Identifies the marketing channel (e.g., email, print) |
| UTM Campaign | Identifies the specific campaign name (e.g., spring_sale) |
| UTM Term | Identifies paid search keywords |
| UTM Content | Differentiates links in the same campaign (e.g., banner_a vs banner_b) |
If you don't use one or more optional columns, clear the sample content in those cells but leave the column headers unchanged.
When you're done, save the file as a .csv or .xlsx file. When using an Excel file, only the first sheet will be processed.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between this and creating QR Codes with bulk link upload?
This article covers standalone QR Codes — codes that are not attached to a Bitly short link. If you want to create short links and generate a QR Code for each at the same time, use the link bulk upload flow instead. See How do I shorten links in bulk?
Can I redirect QR Codes in bulk?
If you’re uploading a link with a QR Code associated, you can create a new QR code alongside a redirected link — the QR code will be associated with your existing Bitly link.
