Our new Apps and Integrations Marketplace is live! Check out the CoSchedule page on the Marketplace for more information about this integration.
What is CoSchedule?
CoSchedule is a project management platform for marketers. It helps you schedule, organize, and manage all your marketing efforts.
Why should I enable this integration?
With the CoSchedule's built-in Bitly integration, you can shorten the URLs in your social account posts (except for for Instagram or Pinterest) and track link performance in Bitly.
If you have Google Analytics enabled in CoSchedule, Bitly may create multiple short links for the same URL. This is because different UTM parameters are added to the base URL to make the overall URL different.
Who can set this up?
Anyone with a CoSchedule account and a Bitly account.
While we are happy to help you with Bitly troubleshooting, like verifying your rate limits, CoSchedule built this integration and can help you if encounter any problems.
How do I connect CoSchedule to Bitly?
- Sign in to CoSchedule.
- Click the menu panel on the left and click Settings (a gear icon).
- Click Integrations.
- Select Bitly.
- Click Enable.
- Click Set up Bitly.
- Click Connect to Bitly.
-
Click Allow on the authorization page. If you're not signed in to Bitly, you'll be prompted to log in first.
- Click OK in the confirmation window.
Now when you include a URL in a social post on your calendar, it will be shortened by Bitly. These links are created in your default app group (used as the default for all integrations) and use the default domain for that group.
If you're using a custom domain in Bitly, the message preview window in CoSchedule will show the generic Bitly link, but the link will use your custom branded link when the message is actually published.
