How do I build and customize my own reports in Bitly Analytics?

This feature is available with some paid plans

Your default Analytics dashboard is set up with several modules, all of which can be rearranged, edited, or deleted. You can also create new, custom modules.

In accounts with multiple users, each user can only edit dashboards they created. Group admins can edit any dashboard in their group and account admins can edit all dashboards in the account.

Create a module

Each Analytics dashboard can have up to 25 modules at a time.

To add a module to your report:

1. Log in to your Bitly account.
2. Click Analytics in the left sidebar.
   
3. Click the title of the Analytics dashboard you want to work on.
   
4. Click Add module.
   
5. Select a chart type from the dropdown menu. A preview of your new module displays on the right side of the page.
   
6. Select a visualization. Note: The visualizations available for your new module vary by chart type.
   
7. Click Add to dashboard.
   

Edit or delete a module

Deleting a module is permanent. It can't be recovered but you can always create a new version of the same module.

To edit or delete a module:

1. Log in to your Bitly account.
2. Click Analytics in the left sidebar.
   
3. Click the title of the Analytics dashboard you want to work on.
   
4. Click the three dots on the module you want to edit or delete.
   
5. Select either Edit or Delete.
   
6. To delete the module, click Delete on the confirmation popup.
   
7. If you're editing the module, you can select a new chart type and/or visualization. Then click Save.
   

Rearrange modules

Use the drag handle in the upper-left corner of the module you want to move and drag it to your desired location. The other modules adjust automatically based on where you place the module.
