In May 2024, Bitly Link-in-bio was renamed Bitly Pages. We made this change to reflect the many different ways that you can use a Page. Learn more at What are Bitly Pages?
When you add an image to a Bitly Page, you can use an image URL instead of uploading a file. An image URL can be used for any images on your page, including profile images, background images, and inline images.
This is a great option for when you don't have your image saved on the computer you're working on or when you already have it stored on your own server. It also allows you to add more images to your Bitly Page if you've reached your limit of 100 uploaded images.
To add an image using the URL:
- Copy the image address. You can do this from your browser's right-click menu.
- Follow the steps for the type of image you're adding:
- Profile image
- Background image
- Inline image (including grid and carousel layouts)
- On the Add image screen, paste the image address URL into the field under Import from URL.
- Click Save.
All images uploaded to Bitly must adhere to our Terms of Service. Every image is scanned by a content classification system. Any image that contains violent or sexually explicit content will be immediately rejected when uploaded.
If your image or logo is rejected, you can submit a request for the image to be reviewed.
Publish your changes
All changes you make to your Bitly Page are saved as a draft. If you leave this page, you won't lose your changes. When you're ready for them to go live, click Publish changes.
