Autobranding allows our Enterprise customers to automatically add their custom domain when someone shortens a link to one of their websites. You may notice this feature when you shorten a link from a website that uses autobranding. The short link will use a different domain than bit.ly or your custom domain.
You'll also see a message beneath the short link field in Bitly:
Even with autobranding, you still have the option to use bit.ly or your custom domain (if you have one). To do so, click the dropdown and select the domain you'd like to use. You can then customize the back-half, if desired.
Links that have been autobranded cannot be edited.
