The audience that continues to re-engage with you is your most valuable audience. With Audience Intel, you can learn how you are driving audience re-engagement, compare how active your audience is across platforms, understand how your audience activity compares to your peers and gain valuable insights into trends in your industry.
How do I interpret the data?
Once you are in the Audience Intel dashboard, you will see the option to show Benchmarking data. Here you will see the vertical your Audience data is being compared to. The blue benchmark line represents how many clicks per unique users others companies in your industry are averaging across a specific channel, device type, time of day, and so on. The orange circle represents how your company is performing against that benchmark so you can understand how your performance in that category compares to your peers.
What companies am I compared to?
At the time of account setup, your vertical was defined with your customer success manager. From there, our data science team uses an engagement ratio to determine which companies within your vertical make up your peer group:
Engagement Ratio = Clicks on Your Links + Clicks on Links Created by the Bitly Network
This allows us to benchmark you against the standard level of engagement across your vertical.
Can other companies see my data?
No. Data is always anonymized, allowing Bitly Brand Tools customers to collect meaningful insights without sharing their data.
How do I change my vertical?
There are 20+ verticals, so you can choose to belong in whatever one is best suited for you. To change your vertical, contact your customer success manager.
I don't want to share my data. How do I opt-out?
All the data is anonymized and only a fraction of customers are selected to use in benchmarking. If you’re interested in checking to see if your company is included, please reach out to your customer success manager.
