You can save links to your bitly account through your email. In your settings, you will see a tab entitled 'Saving'. There you'll find your unique secret code that you'll need for email sharing and saving.
Saving via email:
Email any link to firstname.lastname@example.org to add it to your bitmarks.
1. Put the title in the subject field.
2. Put the URL in the message body.
3. The rest of the message will become notes.
4. The bitmark will be saved according to your default privacy setting.
Sharing via email:
Email to email@example.com to also share the link to Facebook or Twitter. You'll have to go to your settings and select, which accounts (Twitter and Facebook) you'd like as your default.
The message of the body will be stored as notes and sent as the share message (truncated for Twittter when necessary).
You can also send email links to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com - without your secret code- but you'll have to confirm each time.
